We have so many in-sys relationships! I have a romantic relationship with my soulmate and wife Vicky, we’ve been together for over a year(in this life at least, we’ve been together in all our past lives too). I’m also in a purely sexual relationship with my headmate Serena. Missy, Bill and River have been together for around 4 years. CL and Ember are in-sys mother and daughter and started dating a few months back. Liv and Luke started dating as a joke a year ago but now have a genuinely close relationship. I could keep going for a while tbh. We love in-system relationships.

She’s not exactly heoric but I’ve always admired Jocelyn from Shiloh and Bros. Shiloh and Bros is a Youtube channel that make really well acted, high quality kids videos. Shiloh herself is a teenager and does really impressive work. Jocelyn is 5 years old, definitely the youngest on the channel but her perfomance keeps up with everyone else. She’s really cute and I love watching her, she’s definitely my favourite on the channel with Shiloh coming at a close second. She’s not the most heoric herself but she does play some heoric roles and always makes me smile!

Anti Para Arguments

“Go to therapy to fix your attraction” Counter: Not possible in most cases. Conversion therapy rhetoric. A lot of paras don’t want to get rid of their attraction. Not all paras are disordered. It can be dangerous to disclose your para to a therapist

“You shouldn’t be proud of this” Counter: Being proud of yourself never hurts anyone. Pride is a rebellion against a society that hates you. Requiring paraphiles to hate themselves to be accepted is extremely cruel. A paraphilia is nothing to be ashamed of.

“You should kys so you don’t hurt people” Counter: Paras are no more likely to hurt someone than non-paraphiles. Telling someone to kill themselves is never okay.

You should be kept away from kids/animals/(insert thing you’re attracted to)" Counter: Paraphiles are capeable of self control. Just bc you’re attracted to someone doesn’t mean you’re going to hurt them, people have crushes on people who don’t like them back all the time.

Anti Transrace Arguments

“That’s cultural appropition” Counter: Cultural approption is when a piece of a culture is taken from its orginal context and history. Transrace people are not taking anything from its orginal context and history. The majority of transrace people are respectful in the way they learn about and practice their culture.

“You support blackface” Counter: Blackface is something done by racists to make fun of and demonise black people. A transrace affirming their identity is not making fun of anyone.

“You’re fetishing poc” Counter: There is a big difference between having a fetish for something and identfying as that thing. Fetishes are not inherently bad, it’s okay to have fetishes and express those fetishes. This is just the autogynophile terf argument.

“You just have internilised racism” (usually used against POCTW people specfically) Counter: Internilised racism is a seperate thing, there is a difference between “I want to be x bc it feels most right to me” and “I want to be x bc people told me being y is wrong”. Different people deal with internilised racism in different ways, if someone wants to deal with it by identfying as transrace they should be allowed to do so.

I remember a simlarish depiction. I used to watch Eastenders (a British soap oprea). A few years ago they had a story line with on of the charaters, Bex and her teacher Gethin. Bex was 16 years old, her teacher had been giving her private tutoring and they grew quite close. Gethin got injured and Bex helped him and in the emotion of the moment they kiss. Gethin leaves, stops being her tutor and insists it was an accident and he has no feelings for Bex and continusly reminds her they can’t date bc it’s illegal and she’s a minor. Bex continues to pursue him, insists she is mature enough to be a relationship with.

Eventually Bex’s mother, Sonia, finds out and gets really mad at him, even tho Bex continues to insist she’s not hurt by him and begs her mum not to pursue any charges. Sonia tells Gethin’s landlord who then evicts him and chases him out of city.

The way it’s played protrays Gethin as the bad guy for kissing her and “leading her on” and Bex as a foolish teenager making a mistake and putting herself in danger. At least that’s how I think they meant it. It’s strange bc they very much show Bex as not being harmed by this, even after Gethin leaves she doesn’t show any signs of trauma from the kiss itself, only anger at the way her mum reated and the fact that Gethin left. It almost makes me feel like their was at least on pro-MAP on staff trying to write a youth showing their autonomy without seeming too suspicous/controversial. Especially with the Star storyline around the same time.

(Don’t want to fully explain the Star storyline bc this is already a long comment but summary with a lot omitted: Star is a teenager who fakes her name and age to get into a bar and sleeps with one of the adult characters(Jay) who doesn’t know she’s a minor. Neither is depictated as the villan, it’s just treated as an unfortuante accident and said that Star shouldn’t of lied as it put Jay in danger)

Weirdist part: 16 is the aoc in britian. I’m not fully familar with the law but I still think Gethin and Bex’s relationship was illegal as, legally speaking, Gethin has what’s known as a “duty of care”. Esentially he can’t date her bc he is her teacher, not bc of her age. Had Gethin been a random stranger he would have no duty of care so I think the relationship would be legal. Her age isnt even an issue from a legal perspective despite how often they bring it up.

Yeah, I definitely spent a while in that camp. Even after I joined the radqueer community, I was admint I was only a fictto MAP for the longest time. Took a while for me to realise and accept that I just like all kids,

my mum and dad were 10 years apart and had one of the healthist relationships I’ve ever seen. Weridly tho, my dad still looks disprovingly at any age gap over 20 years, even between adults. You’d think being in a healthy age gap marriage for over a decade would disprove that to him, but he just decide he was in the “safe” range and bigger age gaps were still wrong.

ESU stands for ethnicity subliminal user, it’s intended specifically for people who are are using subliminals to transtion. Ethnicity subliminal have existed for a while(I think before radqueer) but have always been controversial. To avoid even more controversy in the sub community, they avoided using the word transrace due to claims that they were stealing from transgender. I think ESU predates RCTA, as I’ve seen it quite a lot in the subliminal community tho usually fully written out instead of an acronym. The tiktok users who use RCTA are joining the ESU community and I assume the above screenshot is someone from the ESU community trying to get these people to switcch to ESU terminolgy using bullshit reseoning

I don’t know the proper names for them but here some stuff I exprience which I’m pretty sure is synesthesia -I associate people with scents.e.g My dad is wood/tree smell, my sister is spicy food smell, I smell of lemons(which is werid bc I’m allergic to lemons lol)

-I can sort of smell and/or taste things by thinking about them.

-I can smell things through the screen, like if I’m watching tv and somebody is eating a cake, I can smell the cake(and sometimes taste it too)

-Emotions have colours

-Music has like emotions and sometimes imagery/colour

-Also I heard misophonia is a type of synesthesia and I have that.

Also one of my headmates is trans-pansynesthete meaning they want all types of synesthesia!

I think my coprophilia and emetophilia are disordered. I am quite squemish so the fantasies make me very uncomfortable. It often comes up at inconvinent times and I find it hard to distract myself from fantasies. Honestly for a while I just called it intrusive thoughts bc they present in a very similar to intrusive thoughts. It took me a while to realise I was genuinely attracted to it bc I was also very squemish at the thought of the fantasies really bothered me.
