🐾Mei is my my adjoined soul twin and we’ve basically been together for as long as I can remember, even if we didn’t acknowledge our relationship as romantic at the time. But we are pretty open about that now and are happy doing so. Im not as close on an interpersonal basis to others in my system, but I do love our dragon little Noel to bits and Mei has a polycule going on, with deep connections with everyone and past life relations. She’s much better at forming deep connections than I am haha, both in system and out of it.

Curious if any other systems here have insys relationships, romantically or otherwise.

We have so many in-sys relationships! I have a romantic relationship with my soulmate and wife Vicky, we’ve been together for over a year(in this life at least, we’ve been together in all our past lives too). I’m also in a purely sexual relationship with my headmate Serena. Missy, Bill and River have been together for around 4 years. CL and Ember are in-sys mother and daughter and started dating a few months back. Liv and Luke started dating as a joke a year ago but now have a genuinely close relationship. I could keep going for a while tbh. We love in-system relationships.

yes, all my sexual relationships are in-nexus (it’s the word i use instead of system), there are also familial and platonic in-nexus relationships!

the nexus frequently gains new members and often the focus of their existence is their sexual relationship to each other. i really like to explore my sexuality this way. ‘i’ am the nexus, basically. it would probably make more sense if i’d start using we, but i don’t want to. plural i should be a thing /lh

We tend to view the word relationship very literally. We would count being sysmates as a type of relationship. That being said, there are sexual, queerplatonic, and (maybe) pseudoromantic relationships in system. I think we all might be aromantic (specifically quoiromantic) but since some of us are introjects, “romance” might get carried over from source. Which doesn’t usually mean anything to us but yeah.

Relationships tend not to be very strict or defined. We kinda naturally form groups and alliances and sometimes multiple sysmates will decide on some sort of official arrangement. Sexual relationships tend to ebb and flow. Friendships are common and tend to last. Familial arrangements aren’t as common and also tend to last. Since we can ignore society and do our own thing I guess we have unusual relationship dynamics (god/patron, different relationships with the same person from multiple timelines, role reversal due to age sliding, etc). I’m trying to define them using common terms but often relationships are a mix of a lot of things and there’s stuff that might be beyond words.
