So where am I on the alignment chart if I create a GoFundMe page where I ask people to donate money to me, an open MAP, so I can access therapy (or “get help” as they like to say), even though I have no intention of using that money for therapy because I’m perfectly happy with myself as a MAP?
I’m currently reaching out to several mental health organizations in an attempt to ask them to support and spread word about the GoFundMe.
Am I dipping my toes into unethical territory, or am I just using the bigoted and discriminatory stance of our society to leverage some much-needed equity? (Though with all this said, I expect to raise exactly $0 from this stunt).
I don’t know. It seems to me that the only people who would actually donate are those who are well-meaning but misguided. It might be turning ignorance into money more than hate.
@Haruto311 is that not illegal?
Depends on the wording, I think. If I say I’m going to use the money to see a therapist, then it might be. If I say I’m going to use the money for therapy, then I don’t think so, as I get to determine what therapy means, and I think it means anything that helps improve my mental health, such as paying off my bills. In that sense, I will be using the money for therapy, I suppose.
I dont think that would work at all X3 Therapy is just what it is and if u make up a new meaning for it people would just see it as clearly a lie
