I would like to use it at work but unfortunately I work with personal information and so can’t do :(

Really like the site for a quick edit.

I sometimes use online apps when I need something specific and Christ that’s like the 6th level of hell on my old slow phone… Tho honestly I can’t imagine how an online app can ever be equal to a local one

Why not? It’s just a web app. It’s not really about the underlying tech making it inferior but about the device interface.

I mean your meme is funny but you could’ve made it even in Paint. The other tools are on another level.

Cuz they just tend to be slow. I don’t know how these apps behave on a 1500€ phone, but I had a pretty beefy computer at my disposal these last 2 years and web apps are just always slower, usually much slower.

And back to phones, the UI of graphics web apps rarely considers them. Or they simplify the UI to the point of being unusably dumb.

And Paint… Yes true, but again do you understand “phone”?

I’ve used PhotoPea and it is VERY close to Photoshop. I’ve had to refresh the page a few times after heavy use, but it has an auto save feature so no problem. Also can open .psd files!

Love it! I just wish it allowed for more effects to be applied to individual layers/ images, when you’re “adding images”.

Whenever I try to composite-in an image, I always have to save and export. Then I have to work on the image I’m trying to composite-in and save/ export, again. Then I go back to the original project, go back to “add image”, and add the SINGLE IMAGE WHICH MAY STILL NOT BE RIGHT.

    I still love it though.

Yea it’s not full-blown Photoshop layers in this regard. Still, with the amount of other stuff it has and for the price (or with just small ads and no fullscreen video ads or other crap), I really can’t complain. I’ve replaced amost every other app with a foss one, but there’s no good foss image editor. Pocket Paint and Litrato can do a few things here and there but not much and both seem abandoned.

Ed: Ok so PP isn’t abandoned and is quite nice in its own way but just doesn’t have the practicality for photo editing or meme making.

I completely agree! It’s been fun seeing it get better.

It’s a little labor intensive, but I love the ability to basically recreate a clone tool if you’re patient enough.

Only usable photo editor app I’ve found so far, all the others i tried just let you crop and apply filters, but that one is filled to the brim with all the tools i could ever want, i love it

You really should be using PicsArt (Premium version) and PixelLab (free), in addition to background remover That’s all you need to make memes on the phone
