Right? It’s such a US way of thinking to assume the entire world needs to hear about your issues.

With the price of textbooks, maybe they should.

Let people enjoy things, unless that thing is not letting people enjoy things.

My question was rhetorical, but I didn’t make it obvious. Most religions isolate their members, but it just depends how much.

My point is that most religions are culty, it’s just a matter of how much.

Sometimes it’s so hard to tell the difference that one must ask themselves whether there is one. Are religions just normalized cults?

I somewhat agree, but for my own mental health I’ve had to try and avoid it if I can. I still stay informed, I just don’t want US politics in every area of my life. I probably agree with most people on this site politically, I just don’t want to be so involved in that mind space all the time.

It also feels very US-defaultism to put US memes here all the time. Sure, most people here are probably American, but not everyone is.

Think of the jobs they’ll create if they don’t pay their share of taxes! /s

Right. If I disagree with someone, I downvote. If people are being an asshole, it’s different.

Generally the assholes also think it’s because people just disagree.
