It would need to work on Linux (wayland + Nvidia) first of all. Which it does not, quite the opposite is the case: it crashes my whole PC.

Theoretically, politics is defined as anything where decisions are made to solve conflicts. However, this is ‘broad politics’. A much more common interpretation of politics adds the requirement of it not only being a single, but regular occurrence or rather the main job of someone. Ergo, politicians of a country, or part of it, and their decisions .
Replying “everything is politics” to someone expressing they do not want to talk about politics is like telling someone their offspring cannot be called “kid” anymore as they are over 18 now, after a mother cried that their “kid died of cancer”. It’s technically correct, but you’re a major annoying asshole or just plain stupid to persist on the meaning that was not intended.
As I do not believe there are that many people with a room temperature IQ, in C, or maybe autistic people for that matter, which of course are not responsible, only one explanation remains. If you, or anyone else repeating this pattern, is not an asshole, they should just shut up, or argue for politics if they really want to discuss this topic. A much better solution would be to move to politics only instances tho.
“911, what’s your emergency?” “My phone is about to die…”
I’m just wondering why she thinks she needs such tricks at all lol
The problem is not anything on my screen, the one with FF usually open is turned away from the door. Me not wearing pants would probably be more sus.
As I said, I predicted it was trash in regards to programming. I’m ok with a bit of lag, or maybe some visual glitches. But I was not prepared to Valve pushing out a such untested steaming pile of crap for Linux. The gameplay could be good, but it does not seem like it from many opinions I heard. But anyway, without CS:GO and none of the game modes I liked in CS:S, I thought there was nothing to lose by trying it (well I was wrong, it took me ~1 hour reinstalling all packages due to not syncing before force restarting, but even if I’d though about it, I couldn’t have done anything about it).
But as I said, I didn’t even get to see more than the settings menu, which I find unnecessarily over engineered too - who the fuck cares about new settings if they just want adjusting something -, as it just crashed after switching between the ‘game’ and Firefox three times. Just crashed my whole system, and idk how. But I know that such errors happen to me with some very badly written engines, over engineered and run through wine. Which means Valve apparently just abandoned the Idea of supporting Linux at least ok-ish completely and fucked that poor source engine hard. Even 4A games’ selfmade 4A engine has native Linux support, with RT, DLSS, FSR, etc. and no bugs. Yet Valve can’t advance their engine to support a fraction of those features without lowering the quality to the level of a trashy Windows only engine run through wine.
It started with lagging. While loading the game. Classic lagging as in the dark filter fading out flimmering. Then CS2 kept rapidly switching between Fullscreen and Windowed, on sway. Then it randomly froze. My whole system. No luck with even switching to another TTY. So I force rebooted after 10 mins. Started into clearing orphaned inodes, then staying on that message. Force rebooted again. Still stuck at “Arch_Linux_boot: clean, x/x files, x/x blocks”.
CS2 basically just broke my PC.
I will never touch it again. I predicted it was going to be trash, not gameplay wise but programmatically.
Never had anything stolen. Guess living in a European village is nice after all.
And even if we could, why buy some stone to wear if one could buy 10l gas for the same price?
Some Lemmings are extremely right. That is the norm on any other social media too. Luckily they were often contained on a specific instance. What I noticed tho is that at least in my german bubble the view is very, very left. That’s noticeable especially as the consensus of eg. !ich_iel@feddit.de seems to be extremely pro towards protestors of the last generation, which are often criticised in my real life bubble for their actions as they’re seen as too extreme. Could be that my RL bubble is just much more right than I perceive it to be, even after blending out some individuals.
The ich_iel community existed as sub on fuggid too, it was never as left tho. I guess there are much less older and therefore theoretically less tech savvy as well as statistically conservative folks people on Lemmy in general. Conservatives would probably care about new, better platforms anyway.
I didn’t know, we just had to bring our own socks and crocs. Was funnier that way tho, one kid had mouse shoes larger than his legs.
Well the admin of a site could opt out of using cloudflare for the time being, a user could do literally nothing. Errors in Cloudflare can easily take down their servers and therefore the CDN and access to like 20% of websites. And Bugs in Cloudflare can even leak user data.
So cloudflare can grant DDOS Protection, CDNs and other exploiting protection, but can take down large parts of everything, temporarily or permanently.
Fun fact: Your body will also survive 5069. This is due to the law of preservation of energy, which means no energy and particles can vanish, they can only change, but they’re still there.
Simple, just visit shoebuntu.com
Not really, almost everyone has WiFi. However, many only have DSL - with speeds up to 10 Mbps or even lower. And that still for a price that’s way too high. Usually it happens at more remote places, like 10 km away from the nearest city. Only one ISP is available, nobody cares about upgrading the rotting copper cables, or even laying fiber, so the customer just gets what’s available for the price the ISP wants, there are basically no restrictions. We’re very lucky to have Gigabit for 50€/month and soon fiber - and that’s not even certain. A company is laying fiber, they’re basically called ‘German Fiber Optic’. As they only offer static public IPv4s for a premium price however, we didn’t go for it. Rule of thumb is that either other ISPs will do their own cables just as the first one has been finished, so as not to lose customers. As ISP 1 that originally laid fiber could charge any amount for that only cable though, ISP 2 will either bite their cheeks and rent it or actually lay it themselves. From that point on the cable will be cheaper for ISP n>=3, as ISP 1+2 want to get them as a customer. So we just need to wait. Not an option for, as said, remote points, who may not have any acceptable connection but a tower right in their backyard.
For it’s the cheap cheap price of 22.4€/person for 20 GB 5G per person. And that’s just because my father has been a customer for a long time and I’m a second device in his contract now, with 50% off. I also reach the 20 GB limit fairly often, especially when on the go a lot. Because Deutsche Bahn. F them. Not even a working Captive Portal is possible for them, so my Laptop has to connect to my Phones Hotspot. I’m in luck with coverage actually, it’s pretty OK even in my village and all around. It’s just bad in my school.
I would say Germany, but our mobile data is even more overpriced.
I believe a F-35 would win. It has, in stark contrast to the AirTag, Raytheon AIM-120C AMRAAM missiles. It also isn’t as overpriced as Apple.
Yup. Skirts are much more comfortable anyway. That would look weird in combination with the full beard tho.
Guess it must go then.
