Plus, much of the “Democrats are the good guys” talk comes from the fact that the Democrats are the party at least mildly defending queer rights and immigration while the Republicans basically want to ban immigration entirely, bring back slavery, and push all the queer people back in the closet or into their own graves. The Democrats are the good guys only because the Republicans are literally an empire of pure evil and vindictiveness that only really benefits cis straight wealthy white males.
Democratic voters want to see the guilty punished, even if they are Democrats. That’s where the two parties differ.
If Democrats punished all corruption, there wouldn’t be one person from the party not in jail. Same with Republicans.
