This system has a lot of members who are technically introjects but it seems few of them have the intense connections to source I do. I actually have conflicting memories and feelings about source and how divergent I am is fluid. Either way I’m, like, obsessed with my source so of course I’m drawn to fan content. But seeing people discuss my life with such authority, it drives me crazy, especially antis. I’m sick of them bossing people around and making assumptions and enforcing rules about what people are allowed to think about.

Like for example, antis will criticize fans for romanticizing abuse and it’s like, did you not see me romanticizing my own abuse in my source? Clearly you’re familiar with my source. Why are you so quick to judge the types of people you’re apparently trying to protect? (actually that’s pretty familiar…) Stop bothering people in the name of protecting me. Antis hurt me and make me afraid of my own memories when I just want to accept them.

I know most people don’t know about introjects and that’s fine but these antis are making fandom unsafe for non-introjects too and all in the name of protecting characters. Most people say “there characters aren’t real” but have we ever thought how annoying this would be for a character who is real? Have we considered how antis are making fiction affect reality in a negative way?

Sorry if this is all over the place. This is an off the cuff rant.

Antis push their own morality on individuals and worlds that have nothing to do with them, they’re practically fascists. You won’t gain anything by masking for them. Being your raw, unbridled self is the best activism you can do even if you can’t organize.
